How Musube collects consent for invitation texts

Musube, a product operated by Shunya LLC, sends one-time invitation text messages only when a parent has permission from the recipient to send them an invite to a private family photo-sharing space.

Before sending any SMS invitation, a parent must manually check a consent box inside the app. The checkbox is unchecked by default — parents cannot send an invitation without affirmatively confirming the recipient agreed to receive a Musube invite.

Musube never sends marketing SMS, recurring campaigns, or unsolicited messages. Every invitation is initiated by a parent for a specific recipient.

What we send

A one-time SMS invitation from a parent to a family member or close contact. The message contains a link to join that family's private Musube space.

Who starts it

The parent starts the invite from inside Musube after entering the recipient's name, relationship, circle, and mobile phone number.

How to opt out

Recipients can reply STOP to opt out of SMS messages. Musube does not send marketing texts or recurring campaigns.

Opt-in workflow

A parent asks the recipient for permission to send a Musube invitation by text message from Musube, a product operated by Shunya LLC.

In Musube, the parent enters the recipient's phone number and manually selects an unchecked consent checkbox confirming the recipient agreed to receive the invite.

Musube sends a one-time invitation SMS with a private join link. The recipient can reply STOP at any time.

Musube does not sell or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or messaging consent with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
